I attended this high school and after reading other reviews I feel compelled the comment. The school is very small, very friendly, teachers are helpful and involved, and I felt like I was really a part of the school. That said, I too received a scholarship to a private school and felt woefully underprepared my first year. My college classmates knew things of which I had never even heard mentioned, the AP program was drastically too small (only two classes when I attended in the early 2000s, perhaps there are more now), and lacked in teaching the intensive skills my college classmates took for granted.

The class of 2003 did pass the MCAS, which is really remarkable and a testament to the teachers' involvement, but the world of high level education and post-graduate studies requires more than the level of the MCAS.
I had a great high school experience, without any violence or excessive bullying or this nonsense that goes on in a lot of other schools, I just wish the school had better prepared me for a selective private college. I did well in college regardless but the first semester was much more difficult than it should have been. I do applaud the high school for its efforts on a limited budget and in a rural setting.
